If you’re one of the many Disney Hollywood Studios fans who were devastated to learn that the Muppets Courtyard and the long-running show Muppet*Vision 3D will be removed from the Orlando park in order to make room for a new Monsters Inc.-themed land, get ready for some great news: A new attraction starring Kermit, Piggy and the rest of the fuzzy crew is on its way. But Aerosmith fans may be less than pleased to find out where the new ride will be setting up shop.

Disney World in Orlando, Florida, will undergo many changes in the upcoming years. Almost all of the parks are being shaken up, likely in an effort to keep up with the brand-new Universal theme park Epic Universe coming next year. But while the traditional Muppets attractions will be removed, a brand-new Muppets roller coaster will be introduced. Jeff Yorkes, the cocreator of the show The Muppets Mayhem on Disney+, revealed that a ride tie-in was part of the pitch for their show, and now it seems that it is actually happening.

The twist? Rather than a new coaster built from scratch, this will be a rebrand of  the current Aerosmith-themed roller coaster called Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster, which has been a part of the park since its inception in 1999.

Disney confirmed, “To make way for the monsters, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and more of their friends will be moving right along to Sunset Boulevard! But there’s more to the story: The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival!”

In this handout photo provided by Disney, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer poses with Disney character Goofy at Disney's Hollywood Studios in front of the "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith," the Walt Disney World roller coaster that is named after the band February 25, 2011 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. That’s not the only change coming: Around Disney Parks, Dinoland at Animal Kingdom is being replaced with a Tropical Americas-themed land that will include nods to Encanto and Indiana Jones. Magic Kingdom will also be developing the highly anticipated Villian’s Land. While many Disney lovers are mourning the loss of some nostalgic favorites, it will still be exciting to see the new rebranded rides. Stay tuned for more updates and let us know which rides you’re sad to lose and which ones you’re excited to gain!
