McDonald’s is bringing back a beloved ’90s menu item — it’s McShaker Fries — for a Grinch-inspired collab, and fans of the Golden Arches can’t wait.

On November 20, the fast food chain announced its new Grinch Meal featuring the grumpy Dr. Seuss character who despises Christmas. The adult Happy Meals will be available for a limited time at participating McDonald’s restaurants starting on December 2.

“Sprinkle the tangy, dill pickle seasoning into the McShaker bag and shake for a bold twist on our World Famous Fries that will make your taste buds pucker with delight,” McDonald’s shared in a news release. “Pair them with your choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and a medium drink for the ultimate treat for yourself during holiday fuss and muss.”

In each Grinch Meal, customers will also find a special gift from the Grinch: a pair of brightly-colored socks with a hand-scribbled message from the green character. They come in yellow, blue, red, and green.

In the news release, the Grinch himself issued a message about the McDonald’s collab.

“THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN’T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD’S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART,” he wrote. “i SAW AN OPPORTUNiTY TO BRiNG MiSCHiEF  TO YOUR BELOVED ‘RESTAURANT’ WiTH MY DELiCiOUS CHAOS FOR THE HOLiDAYS AND i TOOK iT. For many McDonald’s fans, the most exciting part of the Grinch Meal is the Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries. The restaurant previously offered a choice of seasonings and a McShaker bag to mix with Shake Shake Fries, but axed them from U.S. menus in the ’90s.

“McShaker Fries have been a favorite on international menus for years, such as Sour Cream & Black Pepper McShaker Fries in Poland or Masala McShaker Fries in Canada,” a McDonald’s representative told Today.com. “This is the first time in recent years that they will be available nationally in the U.S. market. “

In the comments of an Instagram post from food blogger Markie Devo, customers expressed their excitement for the return of the McShaker Fries.

One follower declared, “Yessss to the shaker fries 🙌🏾 next year we gon see the fried pies make a comeback 😏 speaking it into existence @mcdonalds 😉🤞🏾.”

Another fan exclaimed, “Finally the US has shake shake fries!!! Which is available in other countries for a long time!!!!”

“Oh, yay! Can’t wait!” someone else shared,” as a different follower rejoiced, “McShaker fries in the US?!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳.”

Meanwhile, yet another Instagram user proclaimed, “McDonald’s literally making my dreams come true 😭🎄💚.”
