TCM November 2026 Schedule Celebrates Burt Lancaster as Star of the Month

Burt Lancaster TCM November Star of the Month
Everett Collection

This November, TCM celebrates Star of the Month Burt Lancaster starting Tuesday, November 3, and airing Tuesdays all month.

Lancaster was a cinematic powerhouse whose rugged charm, piercing blue eyes and unmistakable screen presence made him one of the most enduring figures of American cinema.

Born on November 2, 1913, Lancaster leaped from circus performer to Hollywood legend, bringing a rare mix of athleticism, intelligence and emotional depth to the roles he took on. This onetime circus acrobat didn’t start acting until he was in his 30s, appearing in his first film in 1946. Lancaster became a true Hollywood hunk after his iconic scene kissing Deborah Kerr on the beach in From Here to Eternity. As an actor, Lancaster had a wide range, playing both macho tough guys and more sensitive roles throughout his long career.

Also featured are another swashbuckler adventure, The Flame and the Arrow (1950), and the films noir Criss Cross (1949) and Brute Force (1947).
