Victoria Principal just gave Dallas fans a fun surprise on Instagram, sharing a look at some behind-the-scenes fun with co-star Larry Hagman. The actress, best known as Pamela Barnes Ewing on the hit series, posted a throwback snapshot of herself with Hagman and an unnamed baby on set, but it was her playful caption that had fans doing a double take.

“Hanging out with Larry Hagman on the set of Dallas. Or.. did JR & Pam have a.. Baby!!!?” she teased in the post. In the photo, Principal is holding a baby while standing beside Hagman, who played the iconic and often devious J.R. Ewing. Principal was likely holding the baby playing her adopted son Christopher Ewing.

Fans of the show know that Pam and J.R. were more likely to be in a heated argument than a romantic scene. Pam was married to J.R.’s younger brother Bobby (played by Patrick Duffy), and much of the show’s drama revolved around the ongoing feud between the Barnes and Ewing families.

In the early years of the show, Pam and Bobby adopted a baby boy named Christopher Ewing. Christopher’s biological parents were Kristin Shepard, J.R.’s sister-in-law, and a man named Jeff Farraday. The adoption brought its own share of drama, as the Ewings often clashed over family secrets and control of their oil empire. Christopher later became a key character in the series, especially during the 2012 revival.

The post is also a sweet reminder of the camaraderie among the cast. Hagman, who passed away in 2012, was known for his larger-than-life personality and his close friendships with fellow actors.
