Get ready to “Yabba Dabba Doo!” back to Bedrock, because The Flintstones are throwing a birthday bash celebrating 65 years on television. On Sunday, August 31, 2025, MeTV Toons will honor the beloved animated sitcom with The Flintstones: 65 Years & Still Rock’n, a full-day marathon that kicks off at 6am ET. Fans can expect a lineup of favorite episodes from the classic series, plus two animated films, A Man Called Flintstone and The Flintstones Meet the Jetsons.

The Flintstones first hit the airwaves on September 30, 1960, and it wasn’t just another cartoon. Modeled in part after The Honeymooners, the Hanna-Barbera cartoon was originally aimed at adults, and made history as the first animated show to air during primetime, paving the way for everything from The Simpsons to Family Guy. Over six seasons, Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty became household names, and the series even earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. More than six decades later, it’s still beloved in the hearts of fans, airing nightly on MeTV Toons at 7:30pm ET.
