Two of the most beloved Cheers stars are having a very special reunion. Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson are teaming up for a new podcast called Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson (Sometimes) about 30 years after the sitcom ended. The duo will discuss stories from the filming of the iconic show and have special celebrity guests. Danson played bar owner Sam Malone and Harrelson joined as bartender Woody Boyd in Cheers.

Reportedly, some of the guests will include Eric André, Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, Simu Liu, Megan Mullally, Nick Offerman, Conan O’Brien, and Danson’s wife and actor Mary Steenburgen. Danson shared about the podcast, “Though I’ve always dreaded small talk at a cocktail party, I’ve found that it is a genuine privilege to sit down with someone for a deep, uninterrupted conversation. With this podcast, we’ll do just that. And that I get to do it with Woody, my dear friend of many decades, is the cherry on top of the sundae.”

Harrelson added, “The best part about doing this podcast is that it’s given me an excuse to hang out with Ted. Sure we’ll talk with interesting guests, and sure we’ll share some laughs along the way, but the biggest win will be rekindling our romance, I mean friendship, after all this time.”

The show went on for 11 seasons between 1982 and 1992. It spawned the spin-off series Frasier, which was recently rebooted. At last year’s ATX Television Festival, several of the Cheers stars reunited for the show’s 30th anniversary and reminisced about the good times they had together.

The podcast premieres on June 12, 2024, wherever you listen to podcasts. Listen to the trailer here.
