‘Rocky’s 5 Biggest Opponents in the Ring

Carl Weathers‘ Apollo Creed is just as iconic as Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa, so much so that the character inspired a sequel franchise.

Creed (2015), starring Michael B. Jordan, was the first, directed by Sinners Oscar winner Ryan Coogler. The Creed II sequel was helmed by Steven Caple Jr., and Creed III was Jordan’s feature directorial debut.

With the Rocky 50th anniversary coming this month (it’s returning to theaters nationwide), we’re looking back on Rocky’s most infamous opponents in the ring across all of the Rocky movies in the gallery below.
