Whatever Happened to the Cast of ‘Boy Meets World’?
If you’re a Millennial like me, you probably grew up watching ABC’s TGIF lineup and grew up right alongside the cast of Boy Meets World. The series premiered in 1993 and followed Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) from middle school through college, with plenty of lessons from Mr. Feeny (Williams Daniels) along the way.
The show ran for seven seasons, ending in 2000, but the cast never really disappeared. Some returned for the Disney Channel sequel Girl Meets World, while others moved into directing, voice acting, theater, politics or podcasting. Here is what happened to the main cast from Boy Meets World.
Ben Savage (45) as Cory Matthews

Ben Savage was the center of Boy Meets World as Cory Matthews. He had already acted before the show, including a role in his brother Fred Savage‘s film Little Monsters and appearances on Dear John and The Wonder Years. After Boy Meets World, Savage continued acting and later took a break from film and television for several years. He graduated from Stanford University in 2004 with a degree in political science.
He later returned to TV with guest roles on shows such as Still Standing, Chuck, Without a Trace, Bones, Criminal Minds, and Homeland. Savage also returned to Cory in Girl Meets World, where Cory and Topanga were now married with children. The sequel ran from 2014 to 2017, and Savage also directed 10 episodes.
In recent years, he ran for West Hollywood City Council in 2022 and later ran as a Democrat for California’s 30th congressional district, though he was not elected in either race. He married Tessa Angermeier in 2023, and the couple welcomed their first child in late 2025.
According to other cast members, Savage has not kept in touch with his castmates in recent years and won’t return their calls and texts.

She also spent time as a TV host, including MTV’s Say What? Karaoke and Style Network’s The Dish. In 2014, she returned as Topanga in Girl Meets World, which followed Cory and Topanga’s daughter Riley. Fishel also worked behind the scenes on the series as a co-producer, director, and writer.
Since then, Fishel has built a steady directing career, with credits including Raven’s Home, Sydney to the Max, Coop & Cami Ask the World, Lopez vs Lopez, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, and more.
