The 56th Annual San Diego Comic-Con took place in July 2026, showcasing the best of upcoming film and TV releases and, of course, toys and collectibles. ReMIND was there on the convention floor searching for the best in upcoming Retro toys that you may wish to add to your collection
This year’s tidal wave of toy announcements includes The Muppets, Star Trek, Knight Rider, Laurel and Hardy, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Star Wars, Cyndi Lauper, Nancy Drew Mysteries, Miami Vice, Airwolf, Battlestar Galactica, The Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman. KITT Vehicle & Michael Knight Action Figure (Pre-Order)
This hot item captures the ’80s hit TV show Knight Rider. The 1:12 scale KNIGHT RIDER playset comes complete with a 6-inch Michael Knight (David Hassleoff) action figure and KITT’s iconic Super Pursuit Mode transformation, complete with lights and sound. This item is produced by Factory Entertainment and Ramen Toy.
This car will be a one-time limited-edition production. Cost is $350.00 and is available for pre-order on Factory’s website.
Battlestar Galactica Cubits & Pyramid Prop Replica
When the boys of Battlestar Galactica are not in their ships protecting the galaxy, they take time to play a game of Pyramid. Pyramid cards first appear in the episode “Saga of a Star World,” when Starbuck’s winning hand is interrupted by the Galactica going to battle stations. The game’s currency, Cubits, is the form of currency of the Twelve Colonies.
The original artwork has been carefully recreated and printed on 52 heavyweight, casino-grade linen-textured card stock. These replica cubits, copied directly from surviving original props, are cast in solid metal and finished with a durable electroplated coating. Muppets Christmas Carol Action Figure (Pre-Order)
The 1992 Christmas classic film The Muppet Christmas Carol is getting a new figure from NECA. The 7” scale action figure brings to life the moment in the movie when Kermit is Bob Cratchit and Robin is Tiny Tim. The character includes an all-new sculpt and many accessories, including magnetic hats, removable scarves, Tiny Tim’s crutch, and interchangeable hands for Kermit.

Star Trek - Ben Cooper Costume Kids Collection (Pre-Order)

The beloved action-adventure books of Nancy Drew are now coming to light with Wandering Planet Toys action figures. This is the first time that Nancy Drew is getting her own action figures for the 90-year-old book series. Included in the sets are six different Nancy Drew book action figures which match each book cover with Drew’s outfit and accessories. The cost for each ranges from $28.00 to $54.00
Pictured is book #21, the Old Attic figure, which features Nancy in a fetching red dress and includes both a candle to aid in late-night sleuthing and the elusive sheet music that could turn around the fortunes of a deserving young orphan. STAR WARS Ultimate GROGU
This year’s most talked about Comic-Con toy was the STAR WARS Ultimate Grogu! This realistic, life-size Grogu animatronic with a screen-accurate design is 14.6 inches tall. It has 250+ lifelike animations, which bring Grogu to life and include toddling steps, head movement, and even speaks in his own language.
Mattel was taking pre-orders with a guarantee if you preordered at the show. The cost was $599.99 and is currently sold out.
2026 WWE Mattel “Rock ‘n' Wrestling Connection
Here is another Comic-Con exclusive: the 3-pack “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection” with Cyndi Lauper, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper & Captain Lou Albano. This is the first-ever Cyndi Lauper action figure. All figures are 6.5” scale figures with 25+ points of articulation. The Lauper doll comes with one changeable face and two hands.
The background history of this set takes you back to June 16, 1984, when “Rowdy” Roddy Piper interviewed pop star Cyndi Lauper and Captain Lou Albano crashed the conversation; the chaos ensued! The cost of this set was $80.00 and it did sell out.
