Who Is Still Alive From ‘The Omen’? See the Cast 50 Years Later
When The Omen arrived in 1976, it gave horror fans one of the decade’s most unforgettable horror films centered around an evil child. The film starred Gregory Peck and Lee Remick as Robert and Katherine Thorn, a couple whose adopted son Damien may be far more dangerous than either of them can imagine. With its eerie score and shocking deaths, The Omen quickly became a horror classic and was even remade in 2006 with Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, and Mia Farrow.
Released in the U.K. on June 6, 1976, and in the U.S. on June 25, 1976, The Omen celebrates its 50th anniversary this month. While many of the film’s most recognizable cast members have since passed away, several credited actors from the original horror classic are still living. Here’s a look at the surviving cast members of The Omen.
Harvey Spencer Stephens (55)
Damien Thorn

Harvey Spencer Stephens gave The Omen its most chilling image as Damien Thorn, the seemingly innocent little boy at the center of the film’s supernatural terror. He was only a child when he appeared in the movie, but his unsettling performance helped make Damien one of horror’s most recognizable children. Stephens did not build a long-acting career after The Omen, though he did make a cameo in the 2006 remake.
He has remained closely associated with the original film over the years, appearing at conventions in its honor. Stephens made headlines again in 2017 when he received a suspended prison sentence in the U.K. after pleading guilty in connection with a 2016 road rage attack on two cyclists.
Holly Palance (75)

Holly Palance played Damien’s first nanny, whose shocking death during Damien’s birthday party sets the tone for the rest of the movie. It is a brief role, but it became one of The Omen’s most memorable scenes and one of the images people still remember most from the film. Palance, the daughter of actor Jack Palance, continued acting after The Omen and later appeared in projects including The Thorn Birds and The Best of Times. She currently works as a voice actor and narrator, including audiobook work.
Nicholas Campbell (74)
Marine

Nicholas Campbell had a small early role in The Omen as a Marine, but the movie came near the beginning of a much longer screen career. He went on to become especially well known in Canada, with later work in film, television, and directing. Campbell is probably best known to many viewers for playing Dominic Da Vinci on Da Vinci’s Inquest. His part in The Omen was small, but it remains part of the early filmography of an actor who went on to have a long and varied career.
