Step by Step stars Patrick Duffy and two of his onscreen daughters, Christine Lakin and Staci Keanan, recently reunited 28 years after the beloved sitcom ended.
On Wednesday, December 31, Duffy, 76 — who played Frank Lambert — appeared alongside Lakin, 46 (Alicia “Al” Lambert), and Keanan, 50 (Dana Foster), in a photo shared via Instagram. Al was Frank’s biological daughter, while Dana was his stepdaughter, the daughter of Carol Foster, played by Suzanne Somers.
“We had the best time cooking with our TV dad, Patrick Duffy!” Lakin and Keanan captioned the joint post. “Head on over to our FB page for the full segment. ❤️❤️.”
For the picture, Duffy sat between the women, who each placed a loving hand on one of his shoulders. The trio smiled as they sat down ahead of a cooking segment on the Keanan and Lakin Give You Déjà Vu podcast.

In the comments, Instagram users rejoiced over the unexpected reunion of the Step by Step stars. One fan declared, “This photo made my heart so happy! One of my favorite shows I watch any chance I get! 🙂💜🫶.”

Meanwhile, yet another fan commented, “I know Suzanne Somers is smiling down at you all each day. May she continue her rest in peace. I know you all miss her.” (Somers died in 2023 after a battle with breast cancer.)
Step by Step aired for seven seasons from 1991 to 1998. In addition to Duffy, Somers, Lakin, and Keanan, the show starred Christopher Castile (Mark Foster), Angela Watson (Karen Foster), Brandon Call (J.T. Lambert), and Josh Byrne (Brendan Lambert), rounding out the blended family.
