Lost in Space star Bill Mumy recalled reuniting with his costar, June Lockhart, on a surprising show 30 years later.

On Saturday, November 1, the actor — who portrayed Will Robinson in the ’60s series — took to Instagram with a photo of a scene from the absurdist animated series, The Ren & Stimpy Show.

“Staying in Halloween mode today. Guesting on Ren & Stimpy with June Lockhart was indeed a Showbiz highlight!” Mumy, 71, captioned his update. “‘BLAZING ENTRAILS’ is the episode title. I was Dr. Brainchild and June was my Mom. A true ‘HOOT’ as she would say! 👍🏼👍🏼✌️❤️.”

In the Season 3 Ren & Stimpy episode that aired in 1994, Mumy and Lockhart — who also played his mom, Dr. Maureen Robinson, in Lost in Space — reunited as mother and son.

“I am such a fan, I try never to miss an episode,” Lockhard told The Chicago Tribune in 1994 of appearing in Ren & Stimpy. “I phoned them one day and asked if I could come by and talk to the animators. They asked me to play a part and I said, ‘Yes, in a New York minute.’ It’s as awful as all the wonderful Ren and Stimpy things can be.”

That same year, Mumy said in an interview, “I just did a Ren and Stimpy not too long ago with June Lockhart, and that was one of  the high points of my career, being a part of that show.”

Ren & Stimpy aired for five seasons from 1991 to 1995 on Nickelodeon. Meanwhile, Lost in Space ran for three seasons from 1965 to 1968.
