Linda Gray, best known for her role as Sue Ellen Ewing on the highly popular soap opera Dallas, has teamed up with a foundation started in honor of another very famous celebrity. Gray is the co-chair, with Alan Stewart, for the Farrah Fawcett Foundation.

The foundation is meant to honor Fawcett, who passed away from anal cancer in 2009, and aims to help cancer research, prevention and education. The cause is very close to Gray’s heart as her son Jeff died after a battle with leukemia in 2020.

Gray became involved with the foundation after she won their Angel Award at the first Tex-Mex Fiesta in 2022, which honored Jeff’s life and journey. At his time of death, Gray shared the heartbreaking news and wrote, alongside photos of her son, “A celebration of my son Jeff’s life. He was the kindest, funniest, sweetest human being … he brought the world such love and was loved by everyone! May his journey be a magical one.”

Working with the foundation has also been special for Gray as she was close friends with fellow ’70s star Fawcett before she died. She hopes to honor Fawcett, her son and all of the others who have battled or passed away from cancer and help prevent and cure the horrible disease.
