Cher Reportedly Gets the Boot From Son Chaz Bono’s Wedding Guest List
It seems that singer Cher is at odds with both of her sons. She was recently in the news after losing the legal bid to place her 47-year-old son Elijah Blue Allman under a conservatorship. She said that he needed her as his conservator because she claimed that he is “currently unable to manage his assets due to severe mental health and substance abuse issues.” She added that his wife, Marieangela King, is not fit to be his conservator because “their tumultuous relationship has been marked by a cycle of drug addiction and mental health crises.”
Allman shot back that Cher was only filing for the conservatorship because she objected to the reconciliation with his wife. The court in Los Angeles denied Cher’s request, saying that there was no proof of a substance abuse problem after he passed several drug tests.
Allman has disputed claims by his mother and claims to be drug-free. He said, “While I understand that my mother, the proposed conservator, believes she is looking out for my best interests and I appreciate her love and support, I do not need her unsolicited help at this time. In the two weeks since that initial hearing, I have been successfully managing my income and expenses and have refrained from the use of illicit substances that have historically caused the incidents that have given rise to my mother’s concern.”
Not only is Cher feuding with Allman, but she seems to be in a bad place with her other son, Chaz Bono too. Bono has reportedly removed his mother from the guest list for his upcoming wedding to Shara Blue Mathes. An insider claims “They want a simple ceremony with none of Cher’s theatrics.” Their relationship has reportedly been strained since Bono came out as gay and later transgender.
Only time will tell if Cher will heal the strained relationships with both of her sons.
