Turner Classic Movies will again be airing its popular annual event, 31 Days of Oscar, beginning this month and running through the day that this year’s Academy Awards will be given out (the ceremony airs live March 10 on ABC). The 31 Days of Oscar is begins Friday, Feb. 9 at 6am ET and goes through Sunday, March 10. Each of the 31 days is roughly split into half by daytime and evening lineups of films/stars that were winners and/or nominees in various categories.

Some of the primetime highlights in February are: Best Costume Design winners (Feb. 9), including The Sting (1973) and Roman Holiday (1953); Best Supporting Actress winners (Feb. 10), including Written on the Wind (1956, Dorothy Malone) and The Miracle Worker (1962, Patty Duke); Best Original Screenplay winners (Feb. 13), including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) and Gosford Park (2001), both making their TCM premieres; Best Adapted Screenplay winners (Feb. 14), including The Philadelphia Story (1940) and Doctor Zhivago (1965); Best Original Song winners (Feb. 19), including “Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)” in 1956’s The Man Who Knew Too Much and “The Windmills of Your Mind” in 1968’s The Thomas Crown Affair; Best Actress winners (Feb. 25), including A Streetcar Named Desire (1951, Vivien Leigh) and Moonstruck (1987, Cher); and Best Director winners (Feb. 29), including The Quiet Man (1952, John Ford) and Giant (1956, George Stevens).
