‘Little House on the Prairie’: Netflix Reboot Reveals First Look, Release Date & Season 2 Renewal

Netflix is packing up the covered wagon and getting ready to send a new generation to Walnut Grove as it reboots the family classic Little House on the Prairie. Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s enduring book series that inspired the classic ’70s TV show, the reboot not only has a release date, but has been renewed for a second season.

“I’m incredibly grateful to our wonderful cast and crew, who put their hearts and hard work into making our first season come alive,” showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine said in a statement to Netflix. “We can’t wait to share this new adaptation of the Little House books with the world, and we’re thrilled that Netflix is giving us the opportunity to continue the story.”
