‘Fiddler on the Roof’! The Biggest Misses on ‘The Floor’ Episode 3

It’s been a bit since we’ve obsessed over a game show so much (well, outside of Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune), but FOX‘s new The Floor (Tuesdays 9/8c) with host Rob Lowe is must-see game show TV for us nostalgia fans.

The game part of the show couldn’t be simpler — players select their area of expertise and duel each other in these unique trivia categories (Oscar-winning films, brunch, birds, child stars, international foods, athletes, movie characters, U.S. states, hobbies, ’80s TV, fast food, famous sidekicks and more), where a jumbo screen shows an image and the contestants engage in rapid-fire game play, bouncing back and forth identifying the picture (be it a person, film, food, etc.).

The winner of the duel takes the territory (part of the the floor) in which their competitor was standing, and the loser goes home for good. The game started with 81 players on the floor, and by Episode 3 was down to 66 contestants. At the end of each episode the person with the most territories (the biggest portion of the floor) wins $20,000 and continues their quest to win the grand prize of $250,000.

In the opening duel, we squirmed when a contestant missed the musical Fiddler on the Roof, which was based on the beloved 1971 film starring Topol. Here we recap some of the more surprising misses in the episode. How many of these could you have named? (Answers below.)
