Billy Joel is ready for 2024! Not only is he gearing up to finish his long-running Madison Square Garden residency but he is planning two exclusive concerts with special guests. Joel is set to perform at Soldier Field in Chicago in June with Stevie Nicks. Additionally, he will perform alongside Sting at Busch Stadium in St. Louis in September. Joel and Nicks, in particular, have performed together in the past few years and have created an amazing show for fans.

On July 25, 2024, Joel is set to complete his Madison Square Garden residency. The concert will also mark his 150th lifetime performance at the famous arena, beginning with the first show on December 14, 1978. Joel admitted that he was shocked he was able to play so many shows at the highly-coveted performance space.

He shared, “I’m kind of flabbergasted that it lasted as long as it did. My team tells me that we could continue to sell tickets, but 10 years, 150 shows — all right already!” New York City Mayor Eric Adams added, “There’s only one thing that’s more New York than Billy Joel, and that’s a Billy Joel concert at MSG.” Tickets already appear to be sold out for the remaining residency shows.

In addition to all of the very special shows, he will be headlining a few concerts around the country on his own. He confirmed that he will not be retiring anytime soon and plans to continue to schedule shows, hopefully, with even more special guests! Some of the previous guests he has brought on for shows include Bruce Springsteen, Tony Bennett, Aerosmith, and many more.
