Actor Gary Busey is currently being investigated for being involved in a hit-and-run accident. The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station confirmed that they are looking into some footage published by TMZ that allegedly shows Busey backing his car into another vehicle while leaving a shopping center along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on Wednesday.

You can watch the entire confrontation here.

In the video you can hear an unidentified woman yelling at him, “Sir, you hit my car, I need your information!” She filmed the entire incident and showed that there was damage to her reported vehicle as well as Busey’s. The woman claims that Busey replied, “I’m private,” mentioned something about insurance, and then left the scene. Several photos were published on TMZ and as of now, Busey’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment.

This isn’t the first time that Busey has been involved in a car accident. In 1988, he was involved in a more dangerous incident where he flew over the windshield of his motorcycle and almost died after landing on his head. In fact, he claims that the Grim Reaper visited him while he was in the hospital undergoing months of recovery.

He said at the time, “I was sitting in bed when I looked up and saw the Grim Reaper standing in the corner. He was 7 feet tall with a brown robe. He pointed at me and said, ‘Relax, it’s not your time to go. You have been given gifts. These gifts are ready to be received by mankind. So get on your feet and improve.’ Then he laughed, spun his scythe, and left.” Busey is best known for his breakout role playing Buddy Holly in 1978’s The Buddy Holly Story. Since then, he has appeared in films such as Lethal Weapon, Point Break, and most recently Reggie: A Millenial Depression Comedy.
