The Hey Dude cast recently reunited at the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, Arizona.
On January 31, a live reunion aired 35 years after the beloved Nickelodeon show ended on the Hey Dude… The 90’s Called! podcast.
For the reunion episode, podcast hosts Christine Taylor (Melody Hanson) and David Lascher (Ted) sat down with Hey Dude cast and crew members. They included Kelly Brown (Ted), David Brisbin (Mr. Ernst), Josh Tygiel (Buddy), Joe Torres (Danny), Jonathan Galkin (Kyle), Debra Kalman (Lucy), and Geoffrey Coy.
Brown reflected on visiting what remains of the set decades later, sharing, per People, “It felt like, well, ‘This is what the last few seconds must be like when you leave the Earth,’ because [I felt] everything.”
She continued, “I pulled through those gates, and it was — all the memories, everything — was flooding. And I actually went yesterday, before all you guys, because I knew I was gonna be emotional.”
Additionally, Brown confessed, “I got the cries and the tears out and the choking up. I got it all out yesterday. It was emotional. It was very emotional. We spent a lot of time there… It was very intense.”
Meanwhile, Taylor added, “And also, a lot of it is just not there. That’s also very surreal. Like, our bunk house — Brad and Melody’s bunk house — gone.”
