Priscilla Presley shared a touching tribute to her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, three years after her shocking death.
On Monday, January 12, Priscilla, 80, took to Instagram with a throwback photo of herself and of Lisa Marie as a young child. “It has been three years since I last heard your voice,” she began the update. “And not a day goes by that I don’t miss you.”
The bereaved mother continued, “The depth of what we shared is something only a mother and daughter could ever truly understand. Our lives were complicated in ways few could grasp, shaped by love, pain, and the weight of a name the world claimed as its own.”
To conclude her tribute, Priscilla wrote, “Through everything, our bond was ours alone — imperfect, deep, and unbreakable. I miss you more than words can say, my little Lisa Marie. Love always, Mom.”
Lisa Mare died at 54 on January 12, 2023, from a small bowel obstruction caused by scar tissue from weight loss surgery.

During her lifetime, Lisa Marie was married four times. She and her first husband, Danny Keough, married in 1988 and divorced in 1994. They welcomed two children, Riley Keough, 36, and Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide at 27 in 2020.
Additionally, Lisa Marie was married to Michael Jackson (1994–1996), Nicolas Cage (2002–2024), and Michael Lockwood (2006–2021). She and Lockwood welcomed twin daughters, Harper and Finley Lockwood, 17.
Priscilla and Elvis were married from 1967 to 1973; Lisa Marie was their only child. In 1977, Elvis died at 42 from heart failure. With her ex, Marco Garibaldi, Priscilla also welcomed a son, Navarone Garibaldi, 38.
In September 2025, Pricilla published a memoir titled Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, in which she addressed her daughter’s death. She promoted the book during an appearance on Today that month, and Savannah Guthrie asked if she and Lisa Marie found “peace” before she died despite their “ups and downs” through the years.
“We did,” Priscilla shared. “We were really close.”
