WEST, which stands for Western Entertainment Series Television, is a new all-Western channel that will launch on September 29, 2025, from Weigel Broadcasting — the same company behind MeTV, Catchy Comedy, and MeTV Toons. Now, an official schedule has been released, showcasing favorites like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Waltons as well as lesser-seen shows.

WEST will debut in 46 television markets across the country, reaching more than half of U.S. households right from the start. It will also be available on DISH (channel 372) and in many areas as a digital subchannel, so if you have an antenna, a quick rescan will pull it in.

What shows will air on WEST?

Gunsmoke and Bonanza will air Monday through Friday and also on Sunday, in multi-episode blocks — in fact, on Sunday, fans can watch the two shows from 9 am until 10pm. The Waltons will air on Saturdays, from noon until 5 pm, and Rawhide will air weekday nights from 10 to 11pm.

Wagon Train, The High Chaparral, and The Big Valley, as well as Have Gun, Will Travel, Maverick, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, Lawman, Wanted: Dead or Alive, and The Virginian also appear in the schedule. Even The Wild Wild West is part of the mix, with episodes airing every weeknight at 9pm. Fans of more modern Westerns will be excited to hear that ’90s drama Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman will air each Saturday at 8 am. It is an impressive lineup of more than 30 classic series, many of which typically only air on paid cable channels, if they air at all.

According to Weigel, episodes will be shown in their full, uncut form whenever possible. That means no shortened syndication edits and no skipping over storylines. For anyone who remembers watching these shows on their original broadcasts, it is a chance to see them as they were meant to be seen.

WEST is a free, over-the-air channel — you don’t need any special apps or cable packages to watch it. Find out if it’s available in your area.
