Jason Ritter, son of Nancy Morgan and the late John Ritter, has become an accomplished performer in his own right, picking up a 2012 Emmy nomination for his work on the drama Parenthood, and popping up on shows like Kathy BatesMatlock reboot and films like Frozen II. But at the very beginning, Jason got his first moments on camera via his dad’s hit TV comedy, Three’s Company.

Jason was just a toddler at the time, and John’s co-star Joyce DeWitt was the one to pull the young Ritter on screen! If you want to try to find his cameo, look thoroughly during the show’s opening credits during seasons 6 through 8. An overall-clad Jason shows up about 18 seconds into the video below, while DeWitt is feeding some goats.

DeWitt recently shared the fun fact at the Southfork Experience: Three’s Company Panel on Aug. 10. She revealed, according to PEOPLE, “Our director, Dave Powers, was just shooting from the cuff when we would go on location to shoot the credits. There was a rough draft, but not really a game plan. And because we were going to be all day on location, people brought their children, their wives, whatever, it was kind of a group event, and Davey was just grabbing anybody and everyone to throw into those credits.”

“In my credit, where I’m down and this little boy toddles in, that’s Jason Ritter, John’s first child,” she continued. “The Jason Ritter that you see on TV all the time, that was his film premiere. His little overall butt walking up to me.” These particular opening credits were filmed at the Los Angeles Zoo.

Jason has not just gone on to follow in his father’s famous footsteps career-wise; he is also the spitting image of his dad. In a recent social media clip, he did an impression of his father’s character on Three’s Company and fans couldn’t believe how much he sounded like John.
