‘Bewitched’ at 60: Get the Full Remastered Series on New Special Edition Blu-Ray
60 years after it first enchanted our TV screens, Bewitched is getting a new Blu-Ray release: the set will include 22 discs featuring all 254 episodes of the series in a new restoration, plus audio commentary from stars, a behind-the-scenes documentary, an exclusive booklet, and more.
Writer, actor, producer, and pop-culture historian Herbie J Pilato, author of the original and official Bewitched books, and Twitch Upon a Star: The Bewitched Life and Career of Elizabeth Montgomery, and The Essential Elizabeth Montgomery: A Guide To Her Magical Performances, befriended and conducted exclusive interviews with Elizabeth Montgomery several decades ago (the star died of cancer in 1995). Since 2023, he’s been working with esteemed producer/director Justin Beahm and Mill Creek Entertainment to craft and hone the “extras” for the new Bewitched Blu-ray.

“Justin and I have worked so very hard to prep and prime every element of the extras for the final product,” says Pilato. “And to have partnered with someone as talented as he is, along with the remarkable team at Mill Creek … well, it just doesn’t get any better than that.”
All 254 episodes of the classic supernatural sitcom have been remastered, with the “extras” including:

- Bewitched: Behind the Magic — An all-new documentary about the making of Bewitched, featuring Pilato, and special guest appearances by actor David Mandel (Adam Stephens), Steve Olim (who worked in the Make-Up Department at Columbia), film and television historian Robert S. Ray, Bewitched guest star Eric Scott (later of The Waltons), and Chris York, son of Dick York (the first Darrin).
- 16 New Episode Audio Commentaries: Pilato serves as moderator during “behind-the-scenes” conversations with Peter Ackerman (son of Bewitched executive producer Harry Ackerman), David Mandel, Bewitched guest star Janee Michelle (from “Sisters at Heart”), Steve Olim, Robert S. Ray, former child TV actors and Bewitched guest stars Ricky Powell (The Smith Family), Eric Scott (The Waltons), and Johnny Whitaker (Family Affair, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters), and Chris York (son of D. York).
- An Exclusive 36-page Booklet featuring special material and an episode guide by Pilato.
“We all wanted to make the Bewitched Blu-ray the best that it could be,” concludes Pilato. “And I believe we’ve accomplished just that. Elizabeth Montgomery would be proud.”
