What Made ‘Three’s Company’ Star Joyce DeWitt Remember The Time She & John Ritter Made ‘Fools of Ourselves’? (VIDEO)

In the 1970s, collectible trading cards and stickers were extremely popular, and they weren’t limited to sports … you could find trading cards for just about any beloved show or movie — including the hit series Three’s Company. In 1978, Three’s Company stickers and bubble gum were released; each pack had five stickers and a stick of gum for only 20 cents.
One collector recently went to the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville Tennessee to have Three’s Company star Joyce DeWitt open a sealed pack of stickers from 1978. DeWitt had never opened one of these packs before, despite her character Janet appearing frequently in the packs.

The convention featured a reunion of surviving Three’s Company cast members, including 76-year-old Dewitt, Priscilla Barnes and Jenilee Harrison. DeWitt was delighted to see the pack of stickers and be able to open one for the very first time, so many decades later. She joked that the bubblegum would be worthless.
She said in the video, “I used to buy baseball cards just for the piece of gum in it. Double bubble!” After opening a pack, the stickers she saw were photos of the late John Ritter, Suzanne Somers and Mrs. Roper with Jonathan, the “three of us making fools of ourselves,” plus, another photo of the three of them. They also discovered that bubblegum could rot.
She then opened another pack to see if she could find one of Janet and while she wasn’t successful, she found some amazing memories along the way. She then signed the box of stickers among other memorabilia, including old TV Guide covers.
