Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan Celebrate 37th Anniversary With Beach Vacation (PHOTOS)
In an industry not necessarily known for long-lasting relationships, Michael J. Fox‘s marriage to Tracy Pollan has always stood out: the couple tied the knot on July 16, 1988, and have been together ever since, raising four children together and helping Fox maintain his health after he received a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 1991. Pollan honored their 37th anniversary on Instagram with a simple post of recent vacation photos of the pair, writing “Happy anniversary baby! Love you so ❤️❤️❤️.” Fox commented, “Right back at you sweetheart! Happy Anniversary, I love you forever.”

Fox and Pollan first met on the set of Family Ties in 1985, where Pollan played one of his love interests; but they remained only friends on set, and Pollan left the show after a year. The pair reconnected in 1987 while filming Bright Lights, Big City, and tied the knot one year later. In 1989, they welcomed their first child, a son named Sam; twin daughters Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances followed, and as well as third daughter Esmé Annabelle.
Fox, star of ’80 and ’90s classics like Back to the Future, Secret of My Success and The Frighteners, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991, while shooting Doc Hollywood. He went public with his diagnosis in 1998 and began winding down his bigger acting gigs, such as his starring role on the sitcom Spin City, soon after. His last major role was on 2012’s The Michael J. Fox Show, though he has guest-starred on shows from The Good Wife to Scrubs to Designated Survivor. He officially retired from acting in 2020, though he will have a smaller role in the third season of the Jason Segel series Shrinking.
Though Pollan decelerated her acting career to focus on raising the couple’s children, she appeared alongside Fox on Spin City, and has appeared in TV movies like 2009’s Justice for Natalee Holloway. She was nominated for an Emmy for her 2000 appearance on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. More recently, she has become involved in cookbook writing; her brother is noted food journalist Michael Pollan.
