Donny Osmond Sang to Medical Staff While Undergoing Surgery, And You’ll Never Believe His Song Choice
Donny Osmond had fans worried this week after revealing he’d been hospitalized, but the beloved singer quickly reassured everyone with a video that only the beloved singer could pull off. Wearing a hospital gown and a nasal cannula, the 67-year-old smiled calmly as medical staff prepared for a procedure. He didn’t share the reason for the hospital visit, choosing instead to keep things lighthearted in true Donny fashion.
In the video, someone off-camera asked, “When are you going to start singing?” Without missing a beat, Donny launched into “I’ll Make a Man Out of You,” the Disney favorite he originally performed as the voice of Captain Shang in Mulan. Despite the tubes and monitors around him, he sang confidently before saying, “I’m starting to get dizzy,” as his eyes slowly closed. Later in the clip, he’s seen awake again after the procedure and still singing, much to the delight of fans.

Donny posted the moment on social media and wrote, “What better way to power through a procedure than singing your alltime favorite rally song?! I’m feeling all better now! #Mulan #DonnyOsmond #Surgery” Of course, messages of support began rolling in from fans.
Beyond the hospital visit, Donny has been keeping quite busy. He’s continuing his energetic solo residency at Harrah’s Showroom in Las Vegas, where he even shares the stage with a nostalgic AI-generated avatar of his 14-year-old self from the 1970s. In a recent chat on The View, he dropped hints about his eventual retirement, noting that while he still loves performing, he knows he’ll step back when he can’t give 100 percent anymore, but that doesn’t seem to be coming anytime soon.
