See Brendan Fraser, John Hannah, and ‘The Mummy’ Cast Reunite 26 Years Later
Over two and a half decades after they wowed audiences worldwide with the first film in the Mummy franchise, stars Brendan Fraser, John Hannah, Patricia Velásquez, and Oded Fehr gathered together at Fan Expo Denver.
The group — minus costar Rachel Weisz — took the stage at the event to reminisce about the project, an astounding blockbuster that earned over $400 million and spawned two sequels and a prequel.

Fraser played Rick, an American treasure hunter who voyages to Egypt with Evelyn (Weisz), a librarian and amateur Egyptologist, and her older brother, Jonathan (Hannah). There, the group are drawn into a mystical adventure involving resurrected royalty and present-day guardians of ancient treasures— including Fehr, who played Ardeth.
Velásquez, who played princess Anck-su-namun in the film, wrote on Instragram, “So wonderful and so special to reconnect after so many years with the cast of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. #BrendanFraser, @iamjohnhannah , and @fehr.oded . Thank you to @fanexpodenver for making this possible. It means so much to be able to share these moments together again and to celebrate with the fans who have kept this story alive in their hearts. What a beautiful reminder that some adventures never really end.”

In recent years, Fraser has staged an enormous comeback, winning the Academy Award for Best Actor in 2022 for his star turn in Darren Aronofsky‘s The Whale. In that same year, he appeared in Martin Scorsese‘s Killers of the Flower Moon. In the years since The Mummy, Hannah has become a mainstay of UK television. Fehr currently appears on Star Trek: Discovery as Fleet Admiral Charles Vance, while Velásquez has appeared in a number of recent horror films, including 2019’s The Curse of La Llorona and 2020’s Malignant.
