Gary Coleman’s Ex-Wife Will Take Polygraph Test to Address Her Involvement in His Death

DIFF'RENT STROKES, Charlotte Rae, Gary Coleman, (Season 1), 1978-86

Actor Gary Coleman, best known for his role as Arnold Jackson in Diff’rent Strokes, died on May 28, 2010 from a hemorrhagic stroke after falling down stairs and hitting his head, but the details surrounding his death are still a little foggy — and some fans have questions for Coleman’s ex-wife, Shannon Price. Price approved discontinuing Coleman’s life support, but it was later unclear if she was legally authorized to do so, making fans believe she may have had something suspicious to do with his death. While she was never formally charged, she now hopes to set the record straight by appearing on A&E’s new series Lie Detector: Truth or Deception.

The series will feature people who have been long suspected of serious crimes who voluntarily submit to take a polygraph test. Hosted by award-winning investigative journalist Tony Harris, the series see George Olivo, a former FBI agent and veteran polygraph examiner, conduct the exams, which will then be analyzed by Harris. The two-hour premiere is set to focus on the death of Coleman — will Price finally clear her name, or will viewers be left with more questions?
