John Schneider Reminisces About Being on ‘The Haves and the Have Nots’ & ‘Dancing with the Stars’
John Schneider, best known for playing Bo Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard, recently got nostalgic about time spent on some of his more recent shows. In 2018, Schneider appeared on the 27th season of Dancing with the Stars. The dancing competition show is notoriously time consuming but that didn’t stop Schneider from continuing to appear on the Tyler Perry series The Haves and the Have Nots. In a few recent Facebook posts, he reminisced about his time on both shows and talked about how difficult it was to do both at the same time!

He wrote in one post, “So glad so many of you are interested in how dancing with the stars and the Haves And Have Nots could possibly have happened at the same time. I couldn’t find anything of me rehearsing in the hallways, but this is me working on the “jungle book“ dance for dancing with the stars at Tyler Perry Studios while filming 80 to 100 pages a day on the television show! I know it looks sloppy and clumsy, but it was the best I could do. I know I’m not a dancer, but I sure had a great time on that show!”
He added that he had “a great time” filming the Perry series from 2012 to 2019. While many remember him from Dukes or even Smallville, he said added, “This truly was a highlight in my professional career. It made me much much better at everything because of the intense schedule we had to go through.” Schneider also shared that he would love to do a reunion with the cast sometime in the future and said, “One of my most amazing memories was rehearsing my Dancing with the Stars moves in the halls while being this truly bad ass character. Talk about irony!”
Schneider also encouraged fans to watch the show if they have never seen it before. It is currently available to stream on Tubi.
