Actress Ruby Catherine Stevens, better known as screen icon Barbara Stanwyck, is celebrated each Wednesday night and continues well into Thursday this March on Turner Classic Movies with several of her memorable films. The lineups are largely separated by various genres, showing how versatile a star Stanwyck was.turner-classic-movies-march-2025-schedule

Wednesday, March 5 – Begins at 8pm

Some of her earliest films, mostly dramas/crime dramas and featuring a few pre-Code titles, air beginning on the first night, March 5, and continue into the next afternoon. It begins with Baby Face (1933), with other highlights including Ladies of Leisure (1930), The Miracle Woman (1931), Night Nurse (1931) and Ladies They Talk About (1933).

Wednesday, March 12 – Begins at 8pm

The March 12 lineup runs over 23 hours and features some of Stanwyck’s classic screwball and romantic comedies, including The Lady Eve (1941), Ball of Fire (1941; Best Actress Oscar nominee), Remember the Night (1940), Meet John Doe (1941), The Mad Miss Manton (1938) and Christmas in Connecticut (1945).

Wednesday, March 19 – Begins at 8pm

Highlights of the March 19 lineup, which runs over 18 hours, include several of the films noir and crime dramas led by Stanwyck in the ’40s and ’50s, beginning with her legendary femme fatale turn in Double Indemnity (1944; Best Actress nominee) and also featuring Sorry, Wrong Number (1948; Best Actress nominee), No Man of Her Own (1950), Witness to Murder (1954) and The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946), among others.

Wednesday, March 26 – Begins at 8pm

The final lineup, beginning the evening of March 26 and continuing for nearly 14 hours, features Stanwyck-led dramas and melodramas like All I Desire (1953), There’s Always Tomorrow (1956) and Executive Suite (1954), as well as a few Westerns: Annie Oakley (1935), The Moonlighter (1953) and Trooper Hook (1957).
