George Strait to Continue Touring in 2025

Country music superstar George Strait is ready to rock even more stadiums in 2025. He has reunited with fellow country singer Chris Stapleton for a tour from May through July 2025. They previously performed together around the country in 2023 and 2024.
The shows will kick off on May 10 at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field and end at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on July 19. Parker McCollum will join the singers for the first four tour dates, while Little Big Town will open during the final show in California.

The 72-year-old shared, “I keep trying to slow down a bit but you keep calling me back. Please don’t ever stop. I still love it just as much as I always have. Thank you for an amazing year last year and I can’t wait to see you for a few more again this year.”
Strait is sure to perform some of his biggest hit songs, like “Amarillo by Morning” along with songs from his 2024 album, Cowboys and Dreamers. Meanwhile, Stapleton’s most recent album, 2023’s Grammy-nominated Higher, will also be on the setlist.
Stapleton collaborated with Strait on Strait’s 2024 album with the song “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame.” The album was very special to Strait as he dedicated it to friends that he lost. He shared, “I’m dedicating this record to my longtime manager and friend Erv Woolsey and my longtime fiddle player and friend Gene Elders (a player on four of these tracks), who we lost on the same day, March 20, 2024, as well as my longtime friend and road manager Tom Foote, who we lost on April 29, 2024.”
