The Henson family will also be involved in the sequel, as Jim Henson’s children, Brian and Lisa, are set to produce, with Brian executive producing. Eggers will write with his writing partner Sjón, while Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus will also produce the highly anticipated film.
Last fall, the film proved that it was still beloved as it went on a concert tour, playing on a big screen alongside a band, which performed beautiful music to create a more immersive experience.
