Rod Stewart Shares Rare Family Photo Featuring His Youngest Children
Rod Stewart certainly has a lot of family to celebrate the holidays with — the pop superstar shares eight children and many grandchildren with five different women. And after announcing his upcoming farewell tour, Stewart gave us a rare peek at his current family life, posing for an adorable family photo with his wife, Penny Lancaster, and their two sons, Alastair Wallace, 19, and Aiden Patrick, 13. The snapshot, which shows the family all bundled up at a Christmas tree farm, was posted to Lancaster’s Instagram Stories. Though it is no longer available on her account, fans can check out an archived version of the photo on Fox News and People.com.
The 79-year-old previously reunited with all of his children at his son Liam’s wedding in June. He is also the father to daughters Sarah, 60, Kimberly, 45, Ruby, 37, and Renee, 32, and sons Sean, 44, and Liam, 30.

Since his children’s ages range from 13 to 60, Stewart admitted that his children have had different experiences of him as a father through the years. In fact, when Sarah was born, she was at first given up for adoption by Stewart and ex-girlfriend Susannah Boffey. They reconnected later in life after her adoptive parents passed away.

“You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems. As a dad, I’ve learned to listen and not blow my top,” he shared. “I don’t think I’m as strict with my kids as my mom and dad — especially my dad — were. I’m very lenient with them. None have gotten into any serious trouble. A couple dabbled with drugs, but that’s all done now.”
