Sophia Loren Is Serenaded at Her 90th Birthday Party
Icon Sophia Loren recently turned 90 years old on Sept. 20. Just a year after she fell at her home in Geneva, Switzerland, and had to recover from several fractures, she appears to be doing quite well on this momentous occasion. Her friend, fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who is also 90 years old, gave fans an inside look at her birthday celebrations.
He shared a video of Loren from her birthday dinner, looking happy but shy as friends sang “Happy Birthday” to her. She wore a beautiful silver outfit from the Giorgio Armani Privé collection, along with a diamond necklace and earrings.

On her birthday, Armani also shared a black-and-white throwback photo of the two of them and wrote, “Happy Birthday Sophia! ‘Dear Sophia, with my warmest wishes for such an important birthday. I am with you from afar. I hope to hug you again soon.’ Giorgio Armani”

The two have been friends for decades after meeting in Paris when he was working at Nino Cerruti. She has always supported him in his life and career and regularly attends his events when she can because they are so close.
