Iron Maiden Announces New Tour to Celebrate 50th Anniversary in 2025
Iron Maiden has been rocking out for 50 years, becoming one of the most legendary bands in the heavy metal genre. With over 2,500 shows under their belts, the band decided to embark on a brand-new tour to celebrate their special anniversary. Kicking off in 2025, the Run for Your Lives world tour will kick off in Budapest in May 2025 and roll through the rest of Europe and will undoubtedly be as much of a grand spectacular as any of their shows. Unfortunately for U.S. fans, you’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Iron Maiden but they are likely to roll out more tour dates soon.
The band, originally from London, will tour cities such as Paris, London, Dublin, Glasgow, Copenhagen and more in 2025 and 2026. Lead vocalist Bruce Dickinson said, “Next year is a very special one for Iron Maiden and we’re going to be giving our fans a once-in-a-lifetime live experience. This is a tour that’s gonna put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you’ve seen us before, then get ready to take that experience to a whole new level. If you’ve never seen us before, then what the hell have you been waiting for? Now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing! Iron Maiden’s definitely gonna get ya!”

Bassist Steve Harris added, “My love of football and my support of West Ham is no secret, and I know many of our fans around the world have shared that with me too. So we’re all very excited to be playing at the London Stadium as part of the Run for Your Lives tour. And of course, it’s not just London — the whole U.K. tour is going to be a real celebration for all of us.” On Iron Maiden’s website for the tour dates, it features their mascot, Eddie, who appears in all of their album covers and merch. Do you remember the shooter video game Ed Hunter? The band states that it will be spanning the nine studio albums from Iron Maiden to Fear of the Dark to celebrate the 1975 anniversary of founding member Steve Harris forming the group.
In addition to announcing the new tour dates, the band has confirmed that they will ensure ticket prices remain “consistent and fair for all.” They are eliminating dynamic pricing and will cap resale tickets at face value in the UK to avoid inflating prices. If you’re in Europe or plan on traveling there for the tour, tickets go on sale on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024. See all of the tour dates and get tickets on their website. Once North American dates are announced, we will be sure to let you know! Now tell us, who is your favorite Eddie?
