‘Lost in Space’ Star Bill Mumy Releasing New Album
Did you know that Lost in Space star Bill Mumy is not only an accomplished actor but a musician as well? He has released several solo albums, plus nine albums as a part of Barnes and Barnes with Robert Haimer (remember their oddball song “Fish Heads?”). He also performed with the Jenerators. Mumy just announced to fans that he is releasing a brand-new solo album, release date TBD, called Wonder World.
Mumy shared a video on Facebook and confirmed that the album is mixed, finished and has been turned into the record company Global Recording Artists, which has put out several of his other albums over the years. He added that it is being mastered from 24-bit Wave files, so the physical album will sound very impressive. Not only that, but Mumy said that his former costar Angela Cartwright designed the 12-page booklet that will go along with a physical copy of the album, which contains 12 all-new original songs. He wrote, sang and played all of the tunes.
Mumy is now 70 years old, which is hard to fathom for those who grew up right alongside him. He continues to act here and there, recently appearing in the Lost in Space reboot in 2018 and voiced a character in the 2023 film Babylon 5: The Road Home. Stay tuned to his website or Facebook page for updates on when the album will be released. Check out his entire statement below and let us know what you think about this news!
