Celebrate the 40th Anniversaries of Freddy Krueger & the Terminator With These Killer Threads From Cavity Colors & Fright Rags

Freddy Krueger, The Terminator
Everett Collection

There were sure a lot of big blockbuster movies released in 1984. Just this year so far, we’ve had beloved films like Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, and Gremlins celebrate their big 40th anniversaries — but these aren’t the only classic 1984 movies turning 40 in 2024. This fall, A Nightmare on Elm Street and The Terminator will celebrate that same milestone and it seems we’re going to get some cool merchandise to commemorate these two awesome films, because Cavity Colors and Fright Rags have exclusive Freddy Krueger and Terminator collectibles and apparel on sale right now.

First up we have Cavity Colors’ line of A Nightmare on Elm Street 40th anniversary merch, but whatever you do, don’t fall asleep, because this is a limited-time “buy or die series,” which means you have only a few days left to pre-order these bad boys. To quote their website, these designs “will vanish on Sunday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. ET.” Your options include a T-shirt, tank top, or baseball shirt featuring stunning artwork by Dan Whitehead. The art features your favorite razor-clawed dream stalker along with other characters and imagery from the film such as Nancy Thompson (Heather Langenkamp) and the Elm Street house. You can also nab this same artwork in the form of a limited-edition poster. Other items include a glow-in-the-dark T-shirt featuring nightmarish art by Brandon Stecz. This same design also comes available as a long-sleeve tee or a blood-soaked tie-dye T-shirt. They also have a two-inch “This is God” Freddy Krueger enamel pin.

Next up is Fright Rags with their officially licensed 40th anniversary collection of merchandise for The Terminator — the James Cameron sci-fi thriller that introduced us to the metallic assassin from the future (the T-800) played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. There are four T-shirts to choose from and most of them prominently feature the metal endoskeleton of the T-800. You can also get your hands on a T-shirt that sports the Tech Noir Night Club logo — that’s the place where the Terminator attempts to kill Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) for the very first time, only to be thwarted by Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn). If T-shirts aren’t your thing, Fright Rags also has a 32.oz plastic souvenir cup featuring Terminator art by Matthew Skiff. Fright Rags’ Terminator collection is available now (until they sell out or become out of print, that is). So, get on your feet, soldier, and grab these exclusive items before they’re terminated.

The Terminator’s official 40th anniversary is on October 26. A Nightmare on Elm Street turns 40 on November 16. Buy these exclusive items now and you will have some awesome threads to rock well before it’s time to celebrate these two iconic movies.
