Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s Tour is Canceled: Find Out Why

Neil Young and Crazy Horse gave some bad news to their fans. Unfortunately, they canceled all of the remaining dates on their current Love Earth tour. Young shared his gratitude for the fans they have seen on tour so far and broke the news that they had to cancel the rest of the shows for now after several bandmates have been ill.
He wrote, “The Love Earth Tour has been a great experience for us so far. GREAT AUDIENCES AND MUSIC. WE HAVE HAD A BLAST! When a couple of us got sick after Detroit’s Pine Knob, we had to stop. We are still not fully recovered, so sadly our great tour will have a big unplanned break. We will try to play some of the dates we miss as time passes when we are ready to rock again! We know many of you made travel plans and we apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Health is # 1. We want to stay and do more shows and more albums for you…. and for us. With love and thanks to all of you from Crazy Horse….. Neil, Micah, Ralph and Billy Love Earth.”

They played at Pine Knob at the end of May, over a month ago. Although Young did not share just how long they will need to recover, the cancelations seem to be happening through at least September. Several of the show’s dates are now labeled as TBA, so it is currently unclear if these shows will be rescheduled or not.

While this is unfortunate news for fans who bought tickets to the upcoming shows, they can at least be excited about a new album being released tomorrow. Early Daze is a collection of previously unreleased recordings of Young and Crazy Horse, first made in 1969. Pick up a copy of the vinyl or CD on Amazon.
