From The Bear to The Boss?

Word is that Golden Globe winner Jeremy Allen White is in production talks about playing rock legend Bruce Springsteen in a biopic currently called Deliver Me From Nowhere, a feature film based on a 2023 book by Warren Zanes that will chronicle Springsteen’s long efforts to put together his sixth studio album Nebraska, released in 1982 to much acclaim. The film will be directed by Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper.

Should White sign on to play the successful bard, it would be following the wrap of Season 3 and 4 of The Bear, which are currently being filmed back-to-back in Chicago. Official deals are still pending, but that would be a pretty great casting! Who better to portray a complex, emotional, uber-motivated musical artist than someone already portraying a complex, emotional, uber-motivated food artist?

In the meantime, if you haven’t seen The Bear, check it out on Hulu. It’s entirely worthy of all its accolades.

Stay tuned as more details come out we will be sure to update!
