Steven Tyler Takes the Stage Singing Aerosmith Classics at Jam for Janie Grammy Event (Photos)

On February 2, 2o25, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith thrilled guests by hosting the 6th Annual Jam for Janie Grammy Awards Viewing Party, presented by Live Nation, at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, California. The gala was an electrifying night featuring a live viewing of the 67th Annual Grammy Awards telecast and a live auction, and concluded with rocking performances by Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Lainey Wilson, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and the Aerosmith frontman himself, Steven Tyler. It was only the second time he has sung publicly since announcing his retirement from the band due to vocal cord issues.
Tyler covered classic Aerosmith tunes including “Sweet Emotion,” “Dream On” with country star Lainey Wilson, and “Toys in the Attic” with EXTREME’s Nuno Bettencourt. While the rumored Aerosmith reunion didn’t take place, Mick Fleetwood, Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton and Bettencourt, along with former Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum, played as the backing band.
On the star-studded event’s red carpet were Mick Fleetwood, Tiffany Haddish, Joan Jett, Matt Sorum, Bo Derek, John Corbett (Sex in the City and Northern Exposure), Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World), David Archuleta (American Idol), Corey Feldman and Paris Jackson among many others.
What is Janie’s Fund?
Janie’s Fund was created by Tyler to bring hope and healing to girls and young women who have experienced trauma. Host Tiffany Haddish spoke to the audience of her own experiences in foster care, and how the organization’s impactful support of young girls and women blew her away. “I know firsthand how much support, love, and opportunity can mean to a young person trying to navigate a tough world,” said Haddish. “We need more of you to step up, show your love and support for this lifesaving work.”
“You don’t have to be a rockstar to make a big impact,” John Corbett told the crowd. With his wife Bo Derek, the duo encouraged guests to donate and participate with the silent auction. The auction included exclusive memorabilia: Joan Jett and Joe Perry’s personal Gibson guitars, the custom piano Steven Tyler used during Aerosmith’s Las Vegas residency, the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T driven by Vin Diesel’s character “Dom” in Fast X, and the drum set signed by all attending the evening.

$2.5 million dollars was raised during the night which, in addition to Janie’s Fund, this year will also go to support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, The Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighter’s Fund.
