See Rare Photos of Jayne Mansfield Behind The Scenes On Her Biggest Movies
At only 34, Jayne Mansfield already had a decade of Hollywood stardom under her belt. Known for appearances in films like 1956’s The Girl Can’t Help It and 1957’s Will Success Spoil Rock Hudson?, Mansfield’s life was sadly cut short due to a car accident that snuffed out her rising star too soon.
On June 29, 1967, she, along with the car’s driver and her lawyer boyfriend, died. In the tragedy that took her life, Jayne’s two children who were riding in the back seat survived — one being Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay. While only 3 years old when the accident happened, she is opening the vault to her mother’s legacy 60 years later with a new documentary called My Mom Jayne. In honor of the doc, which is now available to stream on MAX, we’ve dug up these great behind-the-scenes photos of the bombshell at work.
