One of the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age (and the oldest living Academy Award winner), legendary actress Eva Marie Saint turns 101 this Independence Day (she was born July 4, 1924, in Newark, New Jersey). These days, the On the Waterfront star resides in Los Angeles.

She told People last year on turning 100: “I certainly don’t feel 100 years old, I continue to take walks out in the fresh air, like watching baseball — especially the Los Angeles Dodgers, and enjoy time with my family and friends. A good life.”
