Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, has died at 100. The longest-living president in U.S. history died almost two years after entering hospice care in his Georgia home in lieu of continued medical intervention for his various health issues.

Carter was a one-term but popular president, holding office from 1977-1981, and was unseated by Ronald Reagan.

The former Commander in Chief’s nonprofit organization announced he was entering hospice care in February 2023.
