Svengoolie is back with another round-up of horror movies for January on MeTV. Each Saturday night at 8 p.m., he brings you his curated movie choices with some extra fun. First up on January 6 is Invisible Ray, featuring Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi in this 1930s classic.

On January 13, Karloff is back in another ’30s film called The Old Dark House (the original version) while on January 20, Evil of Frankenstein heads to your television with Peter Cushing as Dr. Frankenstein. During the Evil of Frankenstein show, Gina Schock, drummer of The GoGos will appear in a few segments. Lastly, on January 27, the original 1971 version of Willard will air, starring Bruce Davison. He learns to talk to rats and uses them to help him get revenge on his horrible boss.

In his monthly newsletter, Svengoolie gave a few very exciting updates. This past year, MeTV has expanded his show to two and a half hours, and due to its success, it will continue. This June, Svengoolie celebrates 45 years of portraying the character. While he’s not sure what the plans are to celebrate such a huge anniversary, it will likely include some more horror movie fun! Svengoolie added that he will play more requested films including those with Vincent Price and Universal classics.
