Iconic supermodel Cindy Crawford took a walk down memory lane after seeing herself in an episode of The Crown. The Crown, which tells the story of the royal family, is currently in its Princess Diana era. In a recent episode, a poster of Cindy Crawford was seen on the wall of teenage Prince William‘s bedroom wall, prompting her to tell the story of when she met the royals many years ago.

She shared a clip of the show on Instagram and wrote, “A little cameo on @thecrownnetflix 👀 I still vividly remember visiting Kensington Palace to meet Diana and a teenage William (who had just discovered the “Super Models”).” In the scene, Prince Philip is seen looking at William’s posters and asks who the women are, to which he replies, “Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, and Naomi Campbell.”

Prior, Crawford shared the story of how she was able to meet Princess Diana and her boys before Diana sadly passed away in 1997. She explained, posting a throwback photo of her with Princess Diana, “This photo was taken at Kensington Palace. Princess Diana had somehow got the number to my office and called herself to ask for me. My assistant was in shock! We finally connected and she asked if the next time I was in London I would come by for tea – I think Prince William was just starting to notice models and she thought it would be a cute surprise for him and Prince Harry.”

She continued, “I was nervous and didn’t know what to wear, but remember as soon as she came into the room and we started talking, it was like talking to a girlfriend. She was a class act and showed us all what a modern day princess should be.” Of course, Prince William went on to marry Kate Middleton and they now have three children together, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
