Just like the rest of the world, Julia Roberts is a Swiftie. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Roberts not only talked about her new film Leave the World Behind but shared her love for Taylor Swift by sharing some fun stories. Roberts took her young children to see Swift for their first big concert back in 2015.

Fallon, doing his due diligence as a host, dug up a photo of Roberts onstage with Swift and Joan Baez at the show. Roberts explained that before the show Swift asked if the family wanted to come up onstage during one part of the concert, along with Baez. Roberts admitted that she gets sweaty when she gets nervous (Stars, they’re just like us!) but decided to go for it because her kids were so excited.

She shared, “The whole thing was pretty surreal, and the Joan Baez part of it made it even more surreal.” While Roberts is a huge Swift fan, she did reveal what her first concert ever was and it is a very different kind of artist. Roberts said that her first live show was going to see Cheap Trick! She even admitted that she snuck out of the house to attend but didn’t say what age she was at the time.

In addition to opening up about her music taste, Roberts talked about her new film called Leave the World Behind, also starring Mahershala Ali, Myha’la Herrold, Ethan Hawke, and Kevin Bacon. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Rumaan Alam. The thriller is about a family on vacation who get bad news from strangers in the middle of the night and now they all must figure out how to survive. The film premieres on Netflix on December 8, 2023.
