If you were a teenager in the 1970s, you probably had some posters of The Partridge Family on your wall. While the show only aired for four seasons, it has remained a pop culture icon, starring Shirley Jones, Susan Dey, Danny Bonaduce, David Cassidy, Suzanne Crough, and Jeremy Gelbwaks who portrayed the talented family band. Sadly, several of the stars have since passed away including David Cassidy, who died on November 21, 2017.

While Cassidy portrayed that he was battling with dementia after struggling to remember some of his own song lyrics and falling off a stage, he was actually dealing with the consequences of alcoholism. Cassidy had told his family that he had given up drinking but continued to drink in private and it caused kidney and liver failure. He passed away days after being put in a medically induced coma, in hopes of giving him more time.

Though his personal life had many struggles, he shined in The Patridge Family alongside his co-stars. To honor the TV family, AXS TV is airing 12 hours of The Partridge Family on Thanksgiving. The event begins at 8 a.m. ET and will run all day, so you can remember all of the nostalgic performances as you spend time with your own family or friends. 24 fan-favorite episodes featuring iconic songs such as “C’moon Get Happy” and “I Think I Love You” will air during the marathon.
