This isn’t the first song that she has released. She has released several studio albums and singles over the years and in 2021, she debuted a song that was very close to her heart. “Human and Divine” is a song she wrote about the sudden passing of her late husband Robert. She said about the song, “It’s trying to define love. If someone asked you to explain what it was, what would be the groups of words that you use to convey it. When you’ve lost someone, it takes on a whole new meaning because it’s all you have left when it’s all said and done.”

She added, “It started out being in a group of lyrics that was about finding love, and while I was on my way flying over to do this part in Wonder Woman, I was thinking about really expanding this song into that idea. It’s also about my husband and I, that I have was lucky enough to have this love.”

Then, last year, she shared a fun cover of Rickie Lee Jones’ classic song “Danny’s All-Star Joint.” Carter worked on a music video for the song that showed her in a range of flirty outfits, hoping to make an edgy and entertaining video. As she continues to make music, Carter said she hopes to go out on tour soon. She was supposed to tour in 2020 but canceled due to the pandemic and has yet to reschedule due to other commitments.

Tomorrow, November 10, you can stream the song on streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music. Pre-save the song here.
