Where to Watch Your Favorite Peanuts Movies & Specials
The seasons are swiftly changing. It seems like just yesterday it was time to watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! and in a few weeks, it will be time to watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then A Charlie Brown Christmas. Which begs the question, where can you watch all of the Peanuts specials and movies? Apple TV+ now owns exclusive rights to basically all of the Peanuts content, first created by Charles M. Schulz.
In years past, all of the specials aired on network television, usually ABC or CBS. However, Apple TV+ now owns the content so you will have to pay for the streaming service to be able to watch the specials. They do offer a free trial if you want to try it just to watch these specials and cancel before the trial is up.
Not only does Apple TV+ offer nostalgic Peanuts movies, specials, and shows, but they also have some new Peanuts content up now. Just this year, they released One-of-a-Kind Marcie, focusing on the introverted character Marcie in the Peanuts universe. Last year, they released Lucy’s School which has Lucy starting her own school to help ease the nerves of her friends starting a new school in the fall. There are several other specials centered around holidays such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and New Year’s Eve. Watch them all on Apple TV+.
If you’re in the mood to watch the 2015 Peanuts Movie, centered around Snoopy and Charlie Brown, you can watch it on Disney+. Then get ready because a brand-new Peanuts movie is coming to Apple TV+ in 2024. The newest film will follow Peanuts characters as they make their way to New York City and meet some “surprising friends” along the way.
Tara Sorensen, Apple’s head of children’s programming shared, “Fans of all ages have been enamored with Peanuts on Apple TV+. With our unmatched library of Peanuts titles, and award-winning collection of stories that bring kids and families together, Apple TV+ is the preeminent home for Snoopy and friends, and offers a world class selection of series and films featuring the most globally cherished animated characters. We can’t wait for everyone to experience this heartwarming new adventure with Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the gang in the Big City.” Schulz’s son and grandson, Craig and Bryan helped create the story and worked on the film.
